Oversharers Unite!

Buenas tardes beautiful people!

I just want to start out by thanking anyone who took the time to read my first post. Whether we’re friends or not, it means a lot that you guys clicked the link and read through a short post. Now, on the next!

I’m learning how to get more comfortable with writing about myself. I don’t know why I’m having so much trouble when I’m an oversharer (sp?) by nature. I used to think I was a private person, when in reality I share a lot about myself within the first five minutes of meeting somebody. (Not quite sure if I should blame it on being Mexican or being an Aquarius.)

Anyways, I’ve been struggling getting some inspiration about what I should write next when an idea struck me: I overshare.

I once had a conversation on the bus with a woman who sat next to me for three stops  where I told her all about my obsession with One Direction and how I had attended three of their concerts. She didn’t need to know that about me, but I shared it with her regardless. I will share every childhood trauma, teenage mishap, and adult problem with you because I have no filter. Someone will ask me for advice on love and I’ll tell them about how I can’t give them any advice because I’ve been in one relationship my whole life that took place in junior high, then I’ll go on to share about how junior high relationships don’t really count because we’re all blinded by the .75 cent slushies we’ve been drinking. Following that, I’ll go on to talk about the amount of slushies I had when I was in junior high and how that’s affected me as an adult because trust me, it probably has.

I’m an oversharer with a slight case of can’tshutuptosaveherlifeitis. I ramble on and on about things no one really cares about and half the time people tune me out. If they don’t care to know about how the High School Musical trilogy has shaped my life then they have no room in it. I’ve learned to accept my oversharing tendencies and it’s about time some of y’all catch up.

If you’re a fellow oversharer like me, feel free to let me know your experiences! I need to know that I’m not alone in my endeavors to annoy the people I love, as well as annoy people I don’t even know LOL.

Once again, thank you for taking the time to read this! Shout out to my homegirls who took the time to comment on my first post, y’all are real ones!

I will be posting an ~opinion~ piece on Monday morning about certain events that took place in the first week of 2018 so stay tuned. I’m planning on having new posts up every Saturday so we’ll see how well that schedule works out for me!
